The last ride we went on was a roller coaster ride called The Matterhorn. S&O were beside themselves because they were tall enough to ride so, although we'd waited in lines all day long, waiting for this one was hard. I sat with Sasha & Allison sat with Owen. The car started moving and it was a really fast ride that was in the inside of the mountain a good bit of the time. Sasha was thrilled until we rounded a corner in the mountain and saw a big, white, hairy Yeti (mechanical, of course). It was roaring and moving its arms. We whizzed passed it and Sasha hollered her little lungs out. When we got to the end, the car hadn't even come to a full stop and Sasha was saying, "Mom, I was very frightened of that. I did not like that Granilla - it was too scary." I have to say that it was great fun discussing the ins and outs of the Granilla and why it thought that standing there like that was appropriate (it was not).
We stopped for ice cream in this western saloon and, much to our delight, a blue grass band came on stage and performed for a bit. Since she was eating cream of the iced and whipped variety, Sasha failed to notice. Owen, however, bounced and bopped to the beat and howled at the fiddle player who had a incredibly flexible face and fake teeth (we hope).
